PLA+ is PLA blended with performance additives. Filaform Tough PLA+ V3 is up to twice as tough as standard PLA, with better ductility, while still printing at PLA-like temperatures and without needing an enclosure. If you are printing something that has to survive being used rather than just looked at, PLA+ is the better starting point.

PLA+ is easier to print and holds fine detail well, so it suits models, prototypes and everyday parts. PETG is tougher, handles heat better and resists chemicals, so it suits functional parts that live in a garage, a car, or outdoors under cover. If the part matters more than the finish, choose PETG.

Filaform is an Australian brand, developed and tested in Australia. Australian Made certification is a specific legal standard, and currently only our Bed Adhesive Spray carries it, so that is the only product we put the logo on. We do not describe our filament as Australian Made. Yet ;)

They have broadly similar strength and heat resistance, but ASA holds up far better under UV. If the part is going to sit in sunlight, use ASA; ABS will become brittle and discolour outdoors. Both need an enclosure and good ventilation.

Two things: the formulation is tuned for high-speed printers, and the packaging is stripped back to a vacuum-sealed spool with desiccant and no outer box. It is not a lower-grade filament; it is the same reliability with the disposable parts removed.

Naked PLA is rated up to 500 mm/s and is optimised for printers like Bambu Lab, Prusa MK4 and Creality K1. Your real ceiling depends on your printer, the part geometry and your cooling. Treat 500 mm/s as the material limit, not a target for every print.

Not for PLA, PLA+, PETG or TPU. You do need one for ABS and ASA. Without it, parts warp and layers separate.

PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS and nylon. One exception: we do not recommend it on ASA with smooth build plates, because adhesion can become strong enough to make parts hard to remove.

Standard covers most printing. Choose Extra Strength when you are printing high-warp materials, or tall parts with very little contact area on the plate: the situations where a print lifts a corner three hours in.

You mostly do not have to. As the plate cools to around 30 °C the part releases itself. No scraper, no chisel. The residue washes off with water.

Sealed and dry. Most filaments absorb moisture from the air, which causes stringing, popping and weak layers. Keep spools in a sealed container with desiccant between prints; PETG, TPU, nylon and PVA are especially sensitive.
